Police investigating two cases of arson in the Mission

There were two incidents of arson in the Mission district in the past two days, police said.

The first incident occurred in the 1500 block of Bryant Street about 6:55 a.m. Sunday.

In that case, unknown suspects used bolt cutters to cut the locks off of a garbage dumpster and then set the contents of the dumpster on fire, police said.

Then early Monday morning about 2:14 a.m., police responded to the 2900 block of Folsom Street on reports of a vehicle on fire.

The Fire Department responded and put out the fire, then deemed the incident arson.

There are no known suspects in either case.
