Police investigating attempted portable toilet arson at Fisherman’s Wharf

Fire investigators are trying to pinch a crappy arsonist who failed in an attempt to burn down a portable toilet near Fisherman’s Wharf Thursday.

A baseball cap was set ablaze inside a portable toilet at Pier 41 around 12:20 p.m., police Officer Albie Esparza said.

The portable toilet was not damaged, police said Friday.

Investigators are not calling the fire arson yet, saying only that the blaze is “suspicious,” Esparza said.

It was the second blaze involving a portable toilet this week in San Francisco.
