A man was arrested shortly after he allegedly used a box cutter to slice a woman in San Francisco on Wednesday afternoon, Sgt. Steve Mannina said today.

Police responded to the assault on Pine and Divisadero streets at 3:07 p.m. and found a woman who had been slashed with a box cutter, according to police spokesman Dewayne Tully.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
