Police arrest brothers in connection with two recent SF homicides

Police arrested two brothers today in connection with two separate homicides that occurred Monday, Sgt. Danielle Newman said in a statement.

Kenyon Norbert, 22, and Kishawn Norbert, 21, both of San Francisco, were arrested early this morning on Third Street in the Bayview, Newman said.

Investigators believe they are responsible for the deaths of Willy Caine Jr., 24, and Keith Zinn, 30, both San Francisco residents, in two separate shooting incidents that occurred in Sunnydale and the Bayview district.

Caine was killed early Monday morning in the first block of Brookdale Avenue in Sunnydale and Zinn was shot later that morning at 9:30 a.m. in the area of Ironwood Way and Catalina Street. Zinn died at the hospital.

The Norberts were both booked into County Jail on two counts of murder and probation and parole violations, Newman said.

Supervisor Malia Cohen, who represents the neighborhoods where the shootings occurred, issued a statement lauding the arrests.

"These arrests are a constructive step forward," she said. "We cannot reverse the tragic deaths that resulted from the shootings, but we will hold the individuals responsible for these events accountable and ensure that the families of the victims get the justice they deserve."

An investigation into the homicides is ongoing, and anyone with further information is encouraged to call (415) 575-4444 or text TIP411 with "SFPD" at the beginning of the message.
