Police announce arrest in Potrero Hill homicide

Police announced an arrest today in connection with the fatal shooting of Paris Raynaldo in Potrero Hill last month, Officer Albie Esparza said in a statement.

Deandre Watson, 26, was already in custody in San Francisco County Jail on another matter when homicide investigators developed information that led them to identify him as the suspect in Raynaldo’s death, Esparza said.

Raynaldo sustained multiple gunshot wounds in his residence in the 900 block of Connecticut Street about 10:42 a.m. Aug. 7 and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Watson’s booking photo will not be released at this time, Esparza said.

Raynaldo's death was the 24th homicide in The City this year.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information is encouraged to call (415) 575-4444 or text 411TIP with “SFPD” at the start of the message.
