Please, please tell me now ... that it’s really happening!

Could it be true?

Will 2011 really be the year of the Duran Duran Renaissance?

Could very well be.

“All You Need Is Now” — the first single and title track from their new 13th salvo is being rush-released on iTunes this week, with a full digital album to follow on Dec. 21 (an expanded physical edition hits stores in February). And it’s produced by one of pop’s heaviest hitters: Mark Ronson himself, who sees the set as “the imaginary follow-up to ‘Rio’ that never was.”

Foppish frontman Simon Le Bon and keyboardist Nick Rhodes will pay back Ronson for all his keen-eared help by dropping by his “Authentic Sh*t” program on East Village Radio this Friday, from 8 to 10 p.m., where they’ll be premiering the album. Which also features a duet with Kelis, “The Man Who Stole A Leopard.”

For a comeback this meaty, you can bet longtime fans are, ahem, “Hungry Like the Wolf.”
