Pippa Middleton is back with boyfriend

Pippa Middleton has reportedly reunited with her beau after the swirl of post-royal-wedding publicity precipitated their split. The socialite known as “Her Royal Hotness” (despite technically having no title) is back together with Alex Loudon, whom she started seeing in December, Life&Style magazine reported.

Prior to their breakup, Alex “was finding all the attention incredibly hard,” a source said. “He wasn’t sure he could cope with it all.”

Luckily, Pippa had some girl-power support in the form of mom Carole and (now actually royal) sister Kate, who allegedly advised her little sis to copy the strategy she used to win Prince William back after their brief 2007 breakup.

“Carole is her daughters’ rock — she advises them on everything from diet to hair and makeup — so she and Kate talked Pippa through her strategy with Alex,” the source said.

And those pictures of Pippa smiling as she shopped and socialized — while, presumably, crying on the inside?

“That’s not an accident,” the source said. “She knew she was being photographed, and she wanted to show Alex she was enjoying every aspect of her life and not moping around. She was eager to copy her sister’s clever technique to win back her man and make him think it was all his decision.”

We’re not sure we buy this story, but if it’s true, well played, Pippa!

Jewel’s Little Gem

Singer Jewel and her bull-riding hubby, Ty Murray, have welcomed their firstborn. Son Kase Townes was born Monday evening in Texas.

“Ty and I are so pleased to welcome our new baby boy into the world,” the “Platinum Hit” host told People magazine. “We are overcome with happiness; it really is as great as everyone told us it would be — better even!”

Funny, everyone says that. Well, congrats to the happy family!

Goodbye, Harry

Looking back on the “Harry Potter” film franchise as it comes to a close — “Deathly Hallows Part 2” premiered in NYC on Monday — the pop-culture phenomenon fans were treated to seems almost too good to be true.

First, when has there ever been another beloved book series translated into film with fans wholly embracing it?

Instead of whining about casting or neglected subplot points, the millions who were charmed by the novels were equally enchanted by the movies.

Second, how refreshing is it to see the three young stars who grew up with the saga act appreciative of their star turns and genuinely sad that the experience is over?

And third, a popular popcorn series attracted the cream of the crop of fine British actors — in fact, you might argue, pretty much all of them — while appealing to the widest possible cross-section of audiences.

So thanks, Harry and company, for all the joy you’ve brought fans over the years. We’ll miss being a part of your world.
