Phony cabdriver punches man in face, robs him

Talk about un-fare.

A man posing as a cabdriver in the Mission district convinced his victim that he was going to give him a ride but punched and robbed him instead, cops said.

The victim was approached on foot by the phony hack in the 200 block of Hartford Street around 2 a.m. Sunday, cops said. The victim was offered a ride and began to follow the “driver” toward what he believed to be the cab. Instead the con forced the victim into a doorway and punched him in the face. He then fled with the victim’s cellphone, wallet and cash, cops said.

The victim refused treatment for his minor injuries and no arrest has been made, police said.
