Peninsula residents asked for input on budget shortfall

Residents are being asked for their input on solving San Mateo County’s $150 million budget shortfall for next fiscal year. Ideas can be submitted through the county Web site at smcbudget.ideascale.com. The county will review the submissions each Friday and post them each Monday. People can vote on the eligible ideas, which will deal with cost reduction, generating revenue, improving services, increasing productivity and saving time or materials.
