Stats say SFO popular for international travel

SFO has long had afollowing of international travelers — particularly for fliers headed to and from Asia and Hawaii — and has been able to corner the market for a while. A San Mateo Superior Court judge on Wednesday ordered a San Mateo man to stand trial on charges he molested an Oregon boy he was attempting to adopt and then, after the boy was removed from his care, tried tracking him with a hidden Global Positioning System device, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.

Tarquin Craig Thomas, 41, will be arraigned in San Mateo Superior Court on Sept. 6 to set a trial date. He remains in custody on $1 million bail and faces a possible 16-year prison sentence if convicted, according to prosecutors.
