Redwood City

Mystery injury: Paramedics requested a police investigation of a reported call at 7:04 a.m. Oct. 17 from a nursing facility regarding a fall victim. They became suspicious of dementia when the patient reported that an unknown gunman came into her room overnight. The facility is attempting to locate a missing caregiver.

Millbrae

Title scam: A vehicle’s title was signed over by the former registered owner in May 2007 and a new registered owner filed paperwork in her name in mid-October, claiming that alleged former signature was a forgery and the vehicle was fraudulently sold and towed on Oct. 21. The complainant told police on Oct. 24 that the vehicle is his sister’s and the forgers stole it.

Burlingame

Upscale abuser: A witness reported seeing a man in a red Alfa Romeo punch a child in the face on the 1-100 block of Cananea Place at 6:45 p.m. Oct. 23.

South City

Road rage: A motorist lined up at the Costco gas station on Airport Boulevard at 12:13 p.m. Oct. 21 reported that a shaven-headed man in his 40s driving a white van had grabbed the victim’s glasses and thrown them because of road rage over who was next at the pump.

San Carlos

DUI crash: Officers were dispatched to the scene of a vehicle collision on the 1400 block of San Carlos Avenue at 9:15 p.m. Oct. 23. They found the driver, age 32, to be under the influence of alcohol as well as driving on a suspended license. The driver was cited and released to a detox center.

Daly City

Cleanliness assault: Two female roommates got into an argument over cleanliness at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 20 on Crestline Avenue and one pushed the other as she walked by. The victim reported the incident and wanted to press charges.
