Daly City

Double GTA: Two grand theft auto crimes were reported overnight Oct. 1. A blue Honda Civic was taken from the 1-100 block of Victoria Street and a red Saturn SL1 disappeared from the corner of Chester and Villa streets.

Millbrae

Mail for Mike: A man was excessively ringing a doorbell at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 8 on El Capitan Drive. When the homeowner asked who was at the door, the man replied, "the postman."

The homeowner was about to open the door, expecting a package. But then the "postman" said he was looking for Mike, so the homeowner told him it was the wrong house.

San Carlos

Copper thieves: A substantial amount of $4 per pound copper was stolen from Heating Supply Co. sometime overnight Thursday.

Drunk and shoplifting: A 44-year-old Redwood City man was arrested for being drunk in public and attempting to shoplift a large amount of merchandise from Home Depot at 3:03 p.m. Thursday. He was booked into San Mateo County jail.

Burlingame

Camera crook: An unknown burglar broke in through a rear window and stole a camera from a residence on the 400 block of Marin Drive on Wednesday morning.

San Bruno

Suspected scavenger: A suspicious person was reported at 2:57 a.m. Wednesday for disturbing the pumps and going through the garbage at a gas station located on the 800 block of El Camino Real.

South City

Tire chase: The driver of a gray Ford Victoria with fresh Bondo filler on fender dents grabbed two tires from the Goodyear dealership on Grand Avenue and sped away at 5:12 p.m. Oct. 8.
