Burlingame

Unwilling star: A man began video-taping someone and would not stop when asked on the corner of El Camino Real and Trousdale Drive before 11:38 a.m. on March 26.

San Bruno

Phone-in threat: A man called his ex-wife to say he would "do bodily harm to her" on the 3100 block of Shelter Creek Lane before 10:25 p.m. on March 26.

San Mateo

Suspicious note-taking: A caller reported at 2:58 p.m. March 22 from the 600 block of 36th Avenue that someone was loitering and writing things down for several minutes.

Screwy: A caller reported that his father tried to stab his brother with a screwdriver and was holding on to it at 4:21 a.m. March 23 on North Humboldt Street.

South City

Sad story: A male caller said he wanted to hurt himself at 6:53 p.m. March 25 on Gardenside Avenue. The caller was 75 years old and despondent about his wife’s dementia.

Foster City

Nap in the lobby: The Crowne Plaza Hotel on Chess Drive called at 11:17 p.m. March 26 to report a male subject passed out in a chair in the hotel lobby. The Belmont resident was arrested for being drunk in public.

Redwood City

Oil spill: At 6:05 p.m. March 24, a fire call reported two men dumping oil down storm drain on Ebener Street.

Daly City

Shoplifting: The Safeway at Westlake Center was the victim of petty theft by a suspect attempting to leave the store without paying for merchandise at 4:50 p.m. March 20. The suspect’s cart locked up at the door because he did not pass through a register. He was cited and released from the scene.
