These are excerpts from Peninsula police departments’ daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by city.

San Bruno

Try a key: A 13-year-old child repeatedly stabbed a door with a knife on the 400 block of Milton Avenue before 4:31 a.m. on April 11.

Burlingame

Angry ex: A man said his ex hit him in the face, keyed his car and left in a 2000 Jeep Cherokee on the 1000 block of Capuchino Avenue before 10:26 p.m. on April 12.

Foster City

Now is the time: A caller reported a suspicious man in his 40s or 50s, heavyset and with salt-and-pepper hair, riding a bicycle and yelling, "Now’s the time for drive-by shootings of an innocent bystander" at 8:50 p.m. April 10 at Edgewater and Beach Park boulevards.

San Mateo

Road kill: A caller at 11:16 a.m. April 10 from the 100 block of North Humboldt Street reported a gun in the street that looked like it had been run over.

DIY thief apprehension: At 9:43 a.m. April 10 from Bridgepoint Circle, a person reported that three men jumped on another man who apparently had shoplifted from Home Depot.

Ugly incident: At 3:05 p.m. April 10, a woman said a person took her purse when she was getting in her car at Beauty World on the unit block of Bovet Road.

Redwood City

Garbage dump: A resident at 5:47 p.m. April 9 on Massachusetts Avenue reported that a subject in a gray sport utility vehicle parked in front of her residence had dumped miscellaneous garbage and a half-eaten burrito out his window. The resident asked the subject to clean his mess, and the subject drove off.

Daly City

Suspicious order: At 11:20 p.m. April 14 a man called Denny’s, claiming he was a police officer investigating a harassing-calls case, and stated he had a suspect in the case on a three-way speaker and wanted the Denny’s personnel to identify the voice.
