These are excerpts from Peninsula police departments’ daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by city.

Belmont

Spot spat: A disturbance was reported at 12:06 a.m. May 10 on Kittie Lane with two women screaming at each other about a parking space on a public street.

San Bruno

Muffler meddler: Someone cut off two feet of a muffler on a red Toyota on the 500 block of Green Avenue before 2:49 p.m. May 10.

Burlingame

Road block: A man in a purple shirt was standing in the middle of the street on the 900 block of El Camino Real staring at a hotel at 10:21 a.m. May 10.

Daly City

Cranky customer: A Washington Mutual branch at 2800 Junipero Serra Blvd. reported a disturbance and a threat of violence at 1:35 p.m. May 12 by a customer who made a threat as he was leaving and said, "I’m going to make them pay, and rob this place" after he was charged a $20 early withdrawal fee for closing a CD account. Bank employees requested a police report for documentation purposes because they were closing all of the customer’s active accounts and refusing further service.

San Mateo

Suspicious noises: A caller reported that she heard what sounded either like two gunshots or someone throwing something against her house. She said she also heard a car drive by at 11:44 p.m. May 9 in the 400 block of Hurlingham Avenue.

Smooth talker: A 90-year-old called at 1:37 p.m. May 9 from the 400 block of Villa Terrace about being conned by a man with an accent, who distracted her and cleaned her money out of a drawer after she let him into her home.

South City

Give me shelter: A manager of a shelter called at 5:44 p.m. May 12 from Safe Harbor on North Access Road to report that a woman was demanding to see the management. The subject had stayed there the previous night and was refusing to leave.
