These are excerpts from Peninsula police departments’ daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by city.


Caught stealing: Someone was detained for stealing a sandwich and released to a family member on the 500 block of El Camino Real before 1:25 p.m. May 28.


Mirror, mirror: A woman said her boyfriend threw her into a mirror and left in her 1999 Ford Expedition on the 700 block of Airport Boulevard before 9:44 p.m. May 28.

San Bruno

Couch canvas: A middle finger was drawn in black Sharpie on a couch a woman was going to donate on the 100 block of Santa Helena Avenue before 10:14 p.m. May 28.

Daly City

Mystery theft: A victim of auto theft called at 11:12 p.m. May 29 from 900 block of Skyline Drive. It was unknown how the car was stolen because all keys were accounted for and the car did not have a battery at the time of the theft.

San Mateo

Verbal volley: At 1:11 p.m. May 28 a caller reported verbal abuse with a woman in the background yelling that she hated him.


Dirty deal: A party reported at noon May 27 on Escondido Way that he was scammed by a carpet cleaner.

Foster City

Mismanaged: At 6:47 p.m. May 28, a caller reported that the Harbor Cove manager hit her with garbage and screamed at her on Edgewater Boulevard. The apartment manager was gone when officers arrived.

Redwood City

Beware of dog: A caller reported at 4:23 p.m. May 27 from Redwood Avenue that he was bitten on the leg by a dog that was still in the area — possibly at the house next door.
