San Mateo

Gun in car: A pedestrian on the 1000 block of Rossi Way noticed a gun on the floorboard of a parked car at 1 a.m. Sept. 15 and requested that police remove the weapon.

Hunt for wounded: A caller told authorities his friend was stabbed in the stomach at home on the 1-100 block of Claremont Street at 11:49 p.m. Sept. 15, but he was not sure of the friend’s present whereabouts.

Redwood City

EA death threat: An unknown caller stated no reason for holding a grudge when he phoned the sports game division of Electronic Arts and threatened to start killing employees. The calls were reported to authorities at 2:47 p.m. Sept. 12.

Daly City

Fun family: A woman on the 300 block of Michelle Lane who is in the process of getting a divorce received threatening calls on Sept. 14 and 16 from a soon-to-be former in-law who said he would "kick her in the stomach like her husband did."
