These are excerpts from Peninsula police departments’ daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by police precincts and the neighborhoods they patrol.

San Bruno

Bad baby sitter: A woman said she lost her 6-year-old grandchild on the 1100 block of National Avenue at 5:07 a.m. Jan. 18.


Twofer: A house was broken into and ransacked on the 300 block of Clarendon Road and another on Burlingame Avenue before 11:21 p.m. on Jan. 14.


Take it back: A car was reportedly scratched in the Safeway parking lot on Ralston Avenue, a person reported at 2:20 p.m. Jan. 15.

Probably not karaoke: A verbal disturbance at the Lariat Cocktail Lounge on El Camino Real was loud enough that an officer responded at 1:11 a.m. Jan. 19.


Road rage: Someone began jumping on a car and yelling at its owner at the intersection of El Camino Real and La Cruz Avenue before 7:47 p.m. Jan. 15.

Daly City

Checking in: The Lane Bryant store in Serramonte Center reported at 11:11 a.m. Jan. 17 that it was receiving harassing calls by a person asking what employees were doing and wearing in the store.

San Mateo

I know him: A person told police at 8:46 p.m. Jan. 23 that a man wearing a beanie had shot at him and his friends three times on the 700 block of North Amphlett Boulevard. He identified the suspect.

Dangerous crossing: A caller reported at 12:19 p.m. Jan. 23 that a vehicle was stuck on the tracks at Tilton and North Railroad avenues. It was found to be a camper that was stuck under the bridge over the tracks.

South City

No help: A domestic occurrence was reported at 9:28 p.m. Jan. 15 on California Avenue when a caller stated he was bleeding. He refused medical assistance.
