Peninsula Police Blotter: Neighborhood crime log 

These are excerpts from Peninsula police departments’ daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by police precincts and the neighborhoods they patrol.

Burlingame

Bad medicine: Someone threatened to kill two people at Peninsula Medical Center, 1800 Trousdale Drive, on Jan. 21 and was discharged before the doctor realized what had happened.

Daly City

Designated thief: A man reported that his white, four-door Lexus was stolen Jan. 4. The auto was reported stolen at 4:41 p.m. Jan. 21 and was recovered when he found out a friend had returned it to his residence when he was too drunk to drive.

Refund rip-off: Someone called at 4:48 p.m. Jan. 21 reporting that an unknown suspecthad filed a tax return with H&R Block in San Francisco using her name and Social Security Number and received a refund of $5,000. The victim will file a report with the IRS.

San Mateo

Slasher sighting? A juvenile in a white sedan was seen at 12:44 a.m. Jan. 20 leaving after the caller’s tires were slashed and the car vandalized. Two males were seen in the front seat.

South City

Salutations: A caller reported at 1:25 p.m. Jan. 19 from Chapman Avenue that someone left a threatening letter on her vehicle.

Redwood City

Sidewalk assault? A caller reported at 2:09 a.m. Jan. 19 that a man was lying on the street with his head on the sidewalk in front of Wendy’s on El Camino Real and Oak Avenue. Medics were called and found him semiconscious, barely breathing and bleeding from the face. A second caller said a person was lying on the sidewalk with a bunch of teens in a red vehicle near him. The subject’s wife and daughter were notified that he was taken to Stanford Hospital. His wife advised the officers that he worked at restaurant downtown and had just got off work at 1 a.m.

Check the warranty: The Ferrari-Maserati dealership at 2750 El Camino Real reported at 10:46 a.m. Jan. 19 that two windows at the front of the building were cracked sometime overnight.
