A log of daily events from Peninsula police departments.

Redwood City

Wild night: A caller reported hearing three shots in the area at 11:56 p.m. Dec. 1; a second caller stated there was a party and shots were possibly fired near Taft School between Eighth and Sixth avenues and heard people scream, cars speeding away and subjects running through yards.

Trailblazing: Police found shell casings and later found that a person who may have been responsible for the casings was headed eastbound on Page Street. Police later searched the man’s residence and he was found to be wanted on a warrant. The residence was cleared but the subject was arrested and booked on warrant out of Santa Clara County.

South City

Rampaging tow truck: Callerreported at 9:52 a.m. Nov. 24 that a tow truck came down the street and damaged all the reflective bumps on the street and one of the tiles damaged the caller’s vehicle on Baden Avenue.

Bizarre: Reporting party stated that a man bleeding from his face pounded on the door at 5:29 p.m. Nov. 24 at Air Express on Lowrie Avenue.

Daly City

Missing money: A caller reported theft of weekend revenue totaling $17,880 from the Unocal 76 station, 101 S. Mayfair Ave., taken from his Gray ’98 four-door Toyota Corolla that he had placed in the trunk of the vehicle. He reportedly did not notice the money missing until he went to a couple of locations in San Francisco 30 minutes later. Police said the vehicle may have been left unlocked since no forced entry was used.

San Mateo

Competitive: The manager of a cleaning company called to report that a client had grabbed paperwork that has private information from some other clients and refused to give it back at 5 p.m. Dec. 4 in the 400 block of Williams Place.

Alleged harassment: A caller who is scheduled to make a court appearance in Bakersfield stated at 5:48 p.m. Dec. 4 from 1600 block of East Third Avenue that they are now receiving threats from someone regarding the scheduled hearing.
