San Mateo

Sleep ’n’ slide: At 10:58 a.m. March 12 at 300 31st Ave., a male subject was curled up and sleeping on top of the playground slide.

Security scuffle: At 8:52 p.m. March 12 at 300 Hillsdale Mall, a shoplifting suspect hit a loss-prevention officer. The suspect is a man with short hair in his late 20s or early 30s.

Foster City

Tree mistreated: A citizen’s assist was provided when a caller reported at 5:15 p.m. March 10 at The Vibe on Shell Boulevard of a youth who she observed breaking branches off trees. The youth was wearing a gray and white football jersey, red Nike shorts and gym shoes. The youth’s parents were contacted and all were admonished.

Burlingame

Shady character: A man wearing a pink sweater and accompanied by a young boy attempted to steal sunglasses from a store on the 1300 block of Burlingame Avenue before 4:34 p.m. on March 16.

Special delivery: A man heard a loud boom and went outside to see his mailbox in pieces on the 800 block of Paloma Avenue before 2 a.m. on March 16.

San Bruno

Threat level orange: Three youths were throwing oranges at cars on the 200 block of El Camino Real before 8:12 p.m. on March 15.

Time to go: Someone was seen walking quickly away from a park and immediately three gunshots were heard in the area on the first block of Bayshore Court before 10:56 p.m. on March 16.

Daly City

Clerk threatened: At 8 a.m. March 13 a clerk at 7-Eleven at 411 Gellert Blvd. called about receiving stabbing threats from two suspects.

Not the bees’ knees: The S.F. Beekeepers Association was the victim of petty theft at 5:35 p.m. March 15 at the Cow Palace, 2600 Geneva Ave., when a cash box containing approximately $20 to $300 in cash was stolen.

Redwood City

Unsafe skateboarder: At 9:08 p.m. March 11 a caller stated that a juvenile was skateboarding down the parking structure ramp recklessly. Skateboarder could not be located.
