These are excerpts from Peninsula police departments’ daily log of activities. Incidents are listed by city.

San Mateo

Love triangle? A caller reported that a man in a light-colored vehicle, possibly a Mazda, just tried to run over a person and her boyfriend at 12:28 a.m. March 14 at Palm Avenue and South Boulevard. The man had also slapped the boyfriend.

Foggy friend: At 5:37 p.m. March 15 from unit block of East 39th Avenue, a hysterical man called stating he thought his friend was intoxicated or drugged.

Burlingame

Unattended child: A 3-year-old was found walking in the street near a 7-Eleven on the 900 block of Rollins Road before 7:50 p.m. on March 18.

San Bruno

Hit and run: A person was hit by a beige car in a parking lot on the 1100 block of Cherry Avenue before 8:25 a.m. on March 18.

Millbrae

Drunk driver: A man was arrested on DUI charges after police found him asleep at the wheel with the engine running on Park Place before 2:44 a.m. on March 18.

Daly City

Officer assaulted: A peace officer was assaulted at 1:33 p.m. March 18 on Mission Street and Citrus Avenue when the officer stopped a vehicle for speeding, tail lights not working and not clearing the way for pedestrians. The suspect had a traffic warrant out of Oakland. The suspect was booked into jail and the gray two-door Plymouth was towed.

South City

Library attack: At 4:03 p.m. March 16, the front desk at Orange Avenue Library called when an 11-year-old child was assaulted at the library by a 14-year-old child. The suspect choked and kicked the victim and slammed his head into a brick wall outside. Suspects on bicycles were chased and last seen riding toward Southwood Center.
