Pending crime lab audit affects narcotics cases 

Since San Francisco Police Chief George Gascon ordered a temporary shutdown of drug testing Tuesday pending an audit of the crime lab, about 125 narcotics cases were discharged, dismissed or postponed by Friday. Police are investigating a former crime lab supervisor who retired March 1 for allegedly taking small amounts of cocaine from evidence beginning in October.
