Pedestrian struck, injured near Alamo Square 

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle early Wednesday morning in San Francisco's Alamo Square neighborhood, a fire department dispatcher said.

Units responded to a report of a crash at Pierce and Turk streets at around 2:10 a.m., the dispatcher said.

A pedestrian had apparently been hit near the intersection and was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, according to the fire department.

Further details were not immediately available and the crash remains under investigation.
