Pedestrian seriously injured in crash in Potrero Hill 

A female pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries Saturday evening after being struck by a pickup truck at an intersection in San Francisco's Potrero Hill area, police said.

San Francisco police responded just before 6 p.m. to a report that a vehicle that had collided with a pedestrian at 25th and Utah streets between Potrero and San Bruno avenues, Officer Albie Esparza said.

The pedestrian was walking in a crosswalk when a pickup truck crashed into her while making a left turn, Esparza said.

She was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that are considered life-threatening.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash and it was not immediately known whether the driver was cited.
