Paul Walker’s mom fights for custody

Paul Walker left his entire multimillion-dollar estate to his teenage daughter, Meadow, and now the late actor’s mother, Cheryl Ann Walker, is making sure her granddaughter is protected legally — by petitioning for guardianship of the 15-year-old.

In Touch magazine reports that Cheryl Ann is allegedly seeking guardianship of her granddaughter as Meadow’s mother, Rebecca Soteros, an ex-girlfriend of Paul’s, “has a drinking problem.”

The March 18 court papers filed by Meadow’s grandmother allegedly say Soteros’ struggles with alcoholism make her an unfit guardian for the teen, who reportedly already lives with her mother in Cheryl Ann’s home.

Soteros was charged for two DUIs in 2003 and again in 2013, according to TMZ.

By becoming Meadow’s guardian, Cheryl Ann believes she’s not only doing what’s best for her granddaughter — who stands to inherit close to $16 million — but also fulfilling her son’s last wish.
