Pee Wee Herman is a party pooper, because he has allegedly sent a cease-and-desist notice to the man who wants to create a festival in Louisville in his honor.
Will Russell, who co-founded the awesome Lebowski Fest, was told by Paul Reubens’ lawyers that he is not allowed to use the Pee Wee name in any way, effectively putting the kibosh on the planned “Tequila” dance party and marching band he had scheduled for the day.
“Fans like me … really want an opportunity to step forward to be like, ‘We like Pee Wee Herman,’” Russell told the Louisville Courier-Journal. “It’s really disappointing we can’t do that.” Well, after all, Pee Wee is a loner … a rebel.
