Parker Griffith can lose. Maybe. 

Alabama Rep. Parker Griffith gave Republicans an early Christmas gift when he switched to the GOP a week ago, but that doesn't mean he's going to have an easy time getting the Republican nomination for re-election. His Republican Primary opponent, Les Phillip, has gone district-wide with this fundraising mailer highlighting Griffith's past political donations to liberals like Howard Dean and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.

 

Phillip, a political newcomer and a former Navy pilot, received the endorsement of Mike Huckabee earlier this year, but that was long before Griffith's switch. A spokesman for HuckPAC was not immediately available for comment. (Griffith's campaign web-page is here, but it has been password protected.)
