Panhandler punctures driver’s tire

A punk panhandler punctured a driver’s tire with a knife on Van Ness Avenue last week, police said.

The panhandler was peeved when the driver said he didn’t have money at the Bush Street intersection on Jan. 17 around 9:15 p.m., police said. The boiling beggar reacted by banging on the driver’s window, they said.

The driver called cops, but that only made the panhandler angrier. The suspect whipped out a knife and put a hole in the tire, police said.

Responding cops cited the panhandler for vandalism and confiscated his knife. No one was injured, police said.
