Opening statements start Monday in Childs trial 

Opening statements are expected Monday morning in the case against Terry Childs, The City’s former computer-network engineer. Childs is accused of hijacking San Francisco’s FiberWAN network by rigging it with his own passwords and installing traps. He faces four counts of computer-network tampering and one count of causing losses of more than $200,000. If convicted, he faces up to seven years in prison.
