It was fright at first sight.

A 30-year-old man was robbed early Thursday in Bernal Heights after the woman he met through an online dating service showed up with two men, one of which was armed with a handgun, police said.

The victim met the woman at the unit block of College Avenue about 12:25 a.m. when the two men also approached and pointed the gun at the victim and demanded his property, police said.

The victim complied and turned over to the crooks his cellphone, wallet and cash.

The two men and the woman the victim met online fled the scene in a black sedan, police said. The men were described by police as being between 20 and 25 years old and the woman was described as being anywhere between 18 and 30 years old.

Police later located the vehicle in the Bayview and a pursuit was initiated, Officer Gordon Shyy said. The pursuit was terminated at Woolsey and University streets near McLaren Park when the car crashed.

Five people in the vehicle were detained and taken to Ingleside Station, Shyy said. No one has been booked as of Thursday morning.
