Obama to students: 'I need your help'

President Obama warned students that Congress will reduce the deficit at their expense unless they "get in the game" and rally for Obama's fiscal policies.

"They're going to want to reduce the deficit on your backs and if you are not heard that's exactly what's going to happen," Obama told hundreds of students gathered in a gymnasium at the Annandale campus of North Virginia Community College.

"I'm going to need your help. That is probably my most important message today," he added. "I can't afford to have you all as bystanders. ... I'm going to need you to get in the game."

Obama also slammed House Republicans' plan to turn Medicare into a voucher program.

"What would happen under this proposal is ... seniors [will] pay twice as much for their health care as they are currently," Obama said.
