Obama laments lack of "fancy buttons" on Oval Office phone

Perhaps President Obama should fork over a little extra cash for a better phone plan.

Apparently, he's none too happy with his, um, traditional phone in the Oval Office.

"I always thought I was going to have really cool phones and stuff," he said during a fundraising event at a Chicago restaurant Thursday. "I'm like, c'mon guys, I'm the president of the United States. Where's the fancy buttons and stuff and the big screen comes up? It doesn't happen."

Or perhaps Obama should pay for some clearly-marked microphones instead.

With reporters already ushered out of the event, Obama thought he was making the candid remarks solely to donors, unaware his words were being piped back to the press room in Washington for reporters burning the midnight oil.
