NYC sanitation worker chaces down, tickets elderly woman for dumping papers in public litter basket 

A New York City sanitation worker jumped out of his vehicle and chased down an 83-year-old woman on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. He wrote Darbe Pitofsky a $100 ticket and threatened to have her arrested. Her crime? She threw a paper bag full of old newspapers into a public litter basket on her East 71st Street block. The basket had a sticker reading, “No household or business trash.”
