Sunrise ceremony: The International Indian Treaty Council hosts its Indigenous Peoples' Thanksgiving Sunrise Gathering. The event includes speakers and performers from numerous tribes. Meet the reindeer: The San Francisco Zoo presents its annual Reindeer Romp attraction. Guests can meet four reindeer -- this year, Belle, Holly, Peppermint and Velvet are dropping in from the North Pole -- and learn about how these fabled creatures really live in the wild. Marine life: The Aquarium of the Bay contains about 20,000 aquatic animals. This year, Aquarium of the Bay is accepting donations of canned and packaged food for donation to North Beach citizens, a nonprofit that helps homeless and low-income residents. Films

Dark hero: Michael Keaton stars as a former cinematic superhero named Riggan who gambles on staging a Broadway comeback in "Birdman." The film, helmed by Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, was nominated for six Spirit Awards on Tuesday. Thanksgiving with Alice: "Alice's Restaurant" is screening as part of the Balboa Theatre's "Balboa's Rock Documentary Series." The 1969 comedy film starring Arlo Guthrie shows the singer's (very fictional) adventures after attempting to dodge the draft, getting kicked out of school and thumbing it across the country. Sweet cars
