Newsom Tracker: China, here I come

Mayor Gavin Newsom and his 79-person entourage begin a week in China to honor the 30th anniversary of San Francisco’s Sister City relationship with Shanghai.

On Friday at the World Expo, some of the Bay Area’s top green initiatives and sustainability programs will be part of an exhibit. The items in the exhibit were selected by Bay Area companies.

The 80-person traveling party has several dignitaries, including former mayors Frank Jordan and Willie Brown, California Supreme Court Justice Ming Chin and BART board of directors president James Fang, who is chairman of the San Francisco-Shanghai Sister City Committee.
