Newsmaker: Golden Gate Bridge 

A $1 price bump for drivers coming into San Francisco via the Golden Gate Bridge, scheduled to start Sept. 1, would be delayed one day under a proposal that will go before the span’s governing board this morning. Bridge district staff have asked that the change be delayed 24 hours to Sept. 2, due to the Labor Day holiday that falls on Sept. 1, a day that historically has a high number of drivers crossing the bridge.
