Burlingame police are appealing to the public to help raise funds for a police dog. The department wants to add a K-9 to the one dog the department currently uses during day shifts.

The department hopes to raise $10,000 and is accepting tax deductible donations mailed to "Burlingame Police Department K9 Fund," 1111 Trousdale Drive.
