New farmers market opens in South City 

A new season of the South San Francisco Certified Farmers’ Market opens Saturday. The weekly market will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Orange Memorial Park and runs through Oct. 30. Fresh fruits and vegetables will be available at reasonable prices, according to the Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association. A contest in which the winner will receive a bag of produce will be held May 15, while information about where the food comes from will be distributed May 29.
