New era brings changes to Examiner

Today, the San Francisco Examiner turns 150 years old. To mark the occasion, we have devised a new look: a bolder design of the Examiner name now adorns the paper’s front page.

Also, starting today, our redesigned website at sfexaminer.com debuts. It will now better deliver, for mobile and desktop, up to the minute news and stories of The City.

The site also features a slideshow of 50 great Examiner front pages over the past 150 years and stories detailing how the paper covered some of the world’s biggest news events over the decades. We might look a bit different in print and online now, but we begin our next 150 years with the outlook that guided us for the first century and a half: a dedication to telling great stories of The City, to uncovering the truth and holding those in power accountable.

We are glad to have you among our readers.
