National Guard crew curtails cannabis-catapulting criminals

National Guard troops operating a video surveillance system at the Naco Border Patrol Station in Arizona observed several people south of the international boundary setting up a catapult and launching packages over the fence.

Mexican authorities were contacted and rushed to the location.

The catapult crew fled, but left behind about 45 pounds of marijuana, a sport utility vehicle and their drug-throwing device.
