Nanny says Smith tried suicide, starved baby

Every day brings more shocking revelations in the bizarre Anna Nicole Smith saga. Now the former nanny of her five-month-old daughter, Dannielynn, has come forward with horrifying allegations that the late model not only attempted suicide but underfed her baby girl to make her look "sexy."

In a sworn affadavit obtained by Web site TMZ, Quethlie Alexis says her employer "attempted to commit suicide" twice, including one incident when she "drank in my presence an entire bottle of what I believed to be a sleeping aid" — then awoke from a two-day coma to say, "I wanted to die ... I meant to kill myself."

On another occasion, Anna Nicole allegedly attempted to drown herself in a swimming pool but was rescued by lawyer-partner Howard K. Stern, who told her, rather chillingly, "If anything happens to you, I would go to jail."

Perhaps even more disturbing: The nanny claims that the former Playboy pinup "was obsessed with making sure that her baby was ‘sexy’" and instructed her to systematically underfeed the child — leaving Dannielynn "badly undernourished and not thriving, as a baby should."

If these accusations are true, Anna Nicole was clearly far more troubled than we already knew.

Loken for a New Job

(Photo by Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images) T3 star Kristanna Loken is fed up with all the "girls" on her lesbian TV show.

Hottie actress Kristanna Loken is openly gay, but she’s leaving the cast of Showtime’s hit lesbian series "The L Word" because — get this — there are too many women on the set.

"It’s an entire show of women, and the amount of egos and insecurities and cattiness that can go with a bunch of women — that’s what you get," Kristanna explained recently, proving that straight men don’t have a monopoly on sexist stereotypes.

"[The show] attracts certain people that want to do something different in their career, but the girls were tough. … And sometimes you wonder if they’ve bit off more than they can chew," the "Terminator 3" star concluded.

We bet the producers can find another lesbian actress who won’t mind being around all those women next season.

Beyoncé: Bikini-Ready?

(Photo by Charley Gallay/Getty Images) You be the judge: Is Beyoncé too fat?

"Dreamgirls" star Beyoncé Knowles says that posing for the cover of the fabled Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue in a sexy bikini was a feat of bravery.

In case you overlooked the interview accompanying the photo spread, the Destiny’s Child singer confessed that doing the shoot took "a lot of guts. I’m really a shy person." (Ever notice how Beyoncé constantly talks to the press about how shy she is?)

Adding to the angst, the shoot took place shortly after Thanksgiving: "At dinner, I kept thinking: ‘This extra piece of pie will show up.’ I always make sure I celebrate it up, but I was so terrified with every little thing I ate this year."

Well, we’ve looked at the cover pretty closely, and we don’t see any pie on those thighs.

Jonesing for a Burger

Meanwhile, another Grammy-winning vocalist, Norah Jones, says she never fretted about her figure … until Hollywood came calling. The "Come Away With Me" chanteuse, who makes her film debut alongside Jude Law in "My Blueberry Nights," confesses she was asked to lose weight for the role — andit really hurt her self-image.

"I probably shouldn’t say this," Norah confided to the U.K.’s Glamour, "but I was asked to lose a few pounds. First, I got really mad, then I got nervous, thinking, ‘Oh, no! I’m fat!’"

But the criticism made the actress more compassionate toward Tinseltown’s thinnest: "It was a horrible thing to hear, but I understand the game. I was just amazed that it really was an issue, and it made me have a lot more sympathy for really skinny actresses."

Still, that’s not to say she buys into those starlets’ uber-thin ideal: "I still think they need to eat a cheeseburger." We couldn’t agree more.

P.S. to Norah: You’re gorgeous exactly the way you are.
