N Judah line problems repaired

The scene of a mechanical problem that was disrupting service of San Francisco Municipal Railway's N-Judah line Monday afternoon was cleared by 5:10 p.m., a Muni spokesman said

An overhead wire was damaged near Ninth Avenue and Irving Street in the city's Inner Sunset neighborhood around 3:40 p.m. and bus shuttles were brought in to provide service between Hillway and 19th avenues, according to Muni spokesman Judson True.

Although the problem has been fixed, True said, bus shuttles will remain in place while N-Judah service is restored.
