MUNI reroutes two lines due to Mission Street fire

San Francisco’s Municipal Railway is being affected by a one-alarm fire that has been burning at 1133 Mission St. for five hours, Muni spokesman Alan Siegel said.

Muni has rerouted some of its downtown trains around the fire since Mission Street between Eighth and Ninth streets has been closed since the fire was reported around 7 a.m.

The 14 Mission electric trolley coach will be rerouted, being turned back inbound to outbound at 11th and Mission streets, Siegel said. The 14L Mission Limited, which makes limited stops in the downtown area, will be filling in as a local bus andis being rerouted around the fire.

Siegel said the reroute is going downtown from Mission and Ninth streets via Ninth, Market and Sixth streets. It is outbound from around Sixth to Howard streets and Howard Street back to Mission Street on its regular route, Siegel said.
