MTT comes to public radio

"The MTT Files," a new series hosted by San Francisco Symphony music director Michael Tilson Thomas and produced by American Public Media and the San Francisco Symphony, is coming to radio.

Part of the Keeping Score Project, "The MTT Files" will be broadcast nationally beginning April 1, heard locally on KQED-FM 88.5 Sundays at 7 p.m. and KALW-FM 91.7 Mondays at 8 p.m.

The series includes eight one-hour programs in which MTT shares theories about music and art as well as reminiscences about artists he has known throughout his career. One episode features Thomas in conversation with James Brown, one of the soul singer’s final interviews before his death.
