Morning stock check: SunPower up, SanDisk down 

SunPower Corp. (SPWR), a solar-energy system company, is leading local companies in gains during early trading Monday morning. Shares of the company are up more than 3 percent. Cisco Systems, Inc. (CSCO) and Yahoo! Inc. (YHOO) are also up more than 2 percent per share.

SanDisk Corp. (SNDK) and VMware, Inc. (VMW) are both down nearly 4 percent per share this morning. Video game company Electronic Arts Inc. (ERTS) is also down more than 2 percent.

Cisco and Sun Microsystems, Inc. (JAVA) have had the most shares change hands in early trading with Cisco trading at a volume of 20 million and Sun at more than 12 million.

Overall, the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index is sliding a bit early this morning.

In other stock news, privately held Connextions, Inc. bought an ownership interest in Aha! Software, which works with on-demand technology products, according to TMCnet.com. Also, BEA Systems, Inc. (BEA) gave activist shareholder Carl Icahn information that Oracle Corp.'s (ORCL) buyout offer undervalued the company, according to Dow Jones.
