Morning stock check: Intuitive, Salesforce up 

The morning after it was trending down, Intuitive Surgical, Inc. (ISRG), a Sunnyvale-based surgical systems company, is up more than 4 percent per share. Salesforce.com, Inc. (CRM) is having a similar experience with its shares up more than 2 percent in early trading.

EBay Inc. (EBAY) is down this morning more than 6 percent a share as is Applied Materials, Inc. (AMAT), the Santa Clara semiconductor maker, which is down nearly 3 percent a share.

As for companies with the most shares changing hands, eBay and Intel Corp. (INTC) -- the second day in a row Intel started out busily -- are trading at a volume of 24.56 million and 18.09 million, respectively.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is trending down early this morning, hovering just below 13,900 points.

In stock news, after a third-quarter loss eBay is reorganizing Skype, an online communications system, according to the Associated Press.

Also, the initial unemployment claims in the U.S. increased by 28,000 to 337,000 last week, according to Bloomberg News.
