Morning stock check: Intuit up, SunPower down 

The Mountain View-based Intuit Inc. (INTU), the company behind TurboTax software, is trending up more than 3 percent in early trading this morning. Salesforce.com, Inc. (CRM), Maxim Integrated Products Inc. (MXIM) and The Gap, Inc. (GPS) are also trending up this morning, more than 2 percent per share.

SunPower Corp. (SPWR) has taken a fall in early trading, trending down more than 6 percent per share. Also down are Juniper Networks, Inc. (JNPR) and Chevron Corp. (CVX).

The companies trading at the highest volume are Cisco Systems, Inc. (CSCO), Intel Corp. (INTC) and Apple Inc. (AAPL). Cisco has seen 13.69 million shares change hands already this morning.

Overall, the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index has been up and down already this morning but is trending up.

In other stock news, Hewlett-Packard Co. (HPQ) will buy data center consulting company EYP Mission Critical Facilities Inc., according to the Associated Press. Also, VMware, Inc. (VMW) released an update to its VMware Fusion software, according to a release.
