Mission District stabbing victim identified as Daly City man 

A 33-year-old man who was stabbed to death following an argument in the Mission District early Sunday morning has been identified as German Fernandez of Daly City.

Police responded to a reported argument among a group of men at Cesar Chavez and Folsom streets around 12:30 a.m., and found Fernandez lying on the ground with several stab wounds.

Fernandez was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he died around 1:15 a.m.

Officers detained two men at the scene, but no arrests were made.

Police believe several people may have driven by the scene and are asking witnesses to come forward.
