Miller doesn't get fourth medal

Bode Miller has skied out of the men's giant slalom as he pursued a record fourth Alpine medal at the Vancouver Olympics.

Miller couldn't correct his line coming out of a right-hand gate in the second half of his run Tuesday. He had almost crashed out in the top half.

The 32-year-old from Franconia, N.H., won medals in each of the first three men's races — gold in super-combined, silver in super-G and bronze in downhill.

No man has ever won four Alpine medals at a single Winter Games. Miller is one of four skiers to win three.

Miller's last chance to win a fourth medal will be Saturday in the slalom.
